The database contains five files: (1) decomposition data, with mass remaining (%) as the response variable; (2\u20134) litter quality traits used in complementary analyses, including C:N ratio, nitrogen content, and lignin content; and (5) a reference list of the 46 peer-reviewed studies from which the original data were obtained.
